(clarification: It was the way people treated Vee that caused me to write this post)

My Code Of Honor

  • Treat everyone I interact with with Respect
  • When responding to a comment etc., treat them in a Dignified manner
  • Always try to Understand their point of view
  • When necessary use Sympathy and Empathy

I feel that the above list is a comprehensive way that I should act with all who visit, comment, follow, on this blog.

    I too think we should treat everyone with respect and try to understand their point of view. This is a high code to live up to. It can be difficult to achieve when people who are hurting or holding to a different code choose not to reciprocate.

    Some people may object to the quote you posted by Robert E. Lee just because he was a confederate soldier and some say he treated his slaves abusively. However, should people do a little research they will discover that Robert E Lee lived to say he was glad slavery as an institution was abolished. He also is quoted as saying, an adult’s education is never finished.

      Linda, thanks for some insight about Robert E. Lee.
      I didn’t even consider his place in history as a confederate soldier.
      The quote I feel said what I wanted to say.

    I love this! I was an elementary teacher for thirty-one years, and although I may have articulated it differently, I thought the most important things I taught my students were lessons such as this.
