Habits like blogging often and regularly, writing down the way you think, being clear about what you think are effective tactics, ignoring the burbling crowd and not eating bacon. All of these are useful habits. Seth Godin  Read more at https://www.brainyquote.com/topics/blogging-quotes

Once again I am giving some more insights that I learn while blogging in the WordPress community.

  • I wrote before how I like just reading other blogs by doing a search in the reader. Well, I have come up with a name for this, not sure if someone has used it,.  During the spring and summer my best friend and I like going garage sale hopping, so my name for what I do in the reader is this “Blog Hopping”.
  • I have found out that Re-blogging is good”.  It builds bridges, it also supports fellow bloggers.
  • This one you may find a little silly, I once Google My Own Site”, my About Page was on the first page of the search.
  • Last but not least, “Tags, tags, and tags”. I have learned that this is a must tool in a blogger’s writing basket.

The above three tips are some things I have found useful in my blogging.  Maybe, these may not be new to you, but they are truly new and useful.

How about you, do you have some tools you use in your blogging?  If so, please share some using the comment section.

Happy Blogging!

Googling your own site, or using Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc… to search your own sight is actually a smart idea. What it does is it causes a Search Engine to find you. If you’re someone in the midst of establishing SEO, this is a small, and easy as heck, step towards building that SEO. The moment a search engine has to find you is the moment it won’t forget you.

So Vee, have you done this with your own blog?
Should we do it with all search engines?
Love to hear your opinion on this!

When I started my blog, I used to do this. Once I started realizing people were finding me via search engine on their own, I didn’t really need to anymore.

Instead of typing WordPress.com into your browser to view your blog, go to google, type in your blog name and make google find you. Then view your blog homepage, and click into your site aggregate from there.

Next time, do it from Bing.

Next time do it from Duck Duck Go.

It’s a small step, but it’s a simple step that’s easy to do.
