Cabin Fever Anyone?

Where do we enroll in Life 101? Where are the classes dealing with the loss of a job, the death of a loved one, the failure of a relationship? Unfortunately, those lessons are mostly learned through trial by fire and the school of hard knocks. Les Brown

Over the past several days I have decided to make the most of being mandated stay indoors.

Here are some of the things I am doing to combat my cabin fever:

  • Exploring new music sounds. i.e., some forms of soft rock
  • New authors, new books different than I would normally seek out.
  • Avoid watching too many news channels
  • Take up again some of my crafts.  i.e. this is one you’ll find funny, I crochet afghans

Those are things I am doing to maintain my mental health

So, I am curious on what you are doing to maintain your mental health?

Try to find something out of your normal routine.
I realize it is difficult not to be able to be out and about.
You are probably someone who needs to socialize with others like friends.
For me, my life hasn’t really changed that much. However, I am limiting myself on how much news I listen to.
Currently I am reading a small book written by author Timothy Snyder.
I finished reading a book called “A Very Stable Genius”. Cannot recall the authors.
It is a behind the scenes narrative about the Trump administration.
It will make your hair curl and you may even become irate.
You could write Knight a very long letter! lol 🙂

I am very surprised to hear that crochet. That’s something I’ve always wanted to learn because I hear it’s easier than knitting and I didn’t like knitting 😁

Angie, here’s the story about me and crocheting. I had broken my arm and wrist. When I finally had the cast taken off the doctor told my mom to have me do things to rebuild strength and tone. He gave three things for me to do,
      a. squeeze a tennis ball
      b. knitting
      c. crochet
Believe it or not I learn to do all three.
I use to do it during the winter. Afghans are too warm to crochet in the summer.
There you are, I am a strange mix of things…lol

Wow! Well thanks for sharing that 😁 I love learning new things about my fellow bloggers and I really think me and the kids should learn this.

Stay busy doing new things. The mind is never shut in unless you lock the door!
