Keeping Sane In An Abnormal Time

“The ability to continue moving when you are feeling scared, fearful or lazy is the sign of true mental strength.”
― Matthew Donnelly

I have now been in my house for approximately three weeks.  In the past I have fought pneumonia twice.  So, I feel that staying in is best for my psychical health.

The true test is finding enough interests to keep my mental health strong.  I have been reading more, also turning off news channels so I do not get an overload of Covid-19 news.

I really cannot give advice to anyone about how to stay strong mentally during these trying times.  Every household has different situations.  Many have school age children at home.  Keeping children’s attention is a full time job, no play dates for the younger, too much screen time is not wise.  So, for these parents my heart goes out to you.

Millions across North America and the world find themselves facing rent/mortgages to pay, food to put on the table, clothes on their back.  This stress can keep you awake at night weighing heavily on a person’s mental health.

So, for all those who are facing hard times I will be thinking, praying for you! I hope you are able to keep mental health strong!
