Where Have They Gone?

“It should feel genuinely good to earn income from your blog – you should be driven by a healthy ambition to succeed.” – Steve Pavlina

In Memory of Ashley L. PetersonMental Health @ Home

The other day I was doing some reading catching up on the blogs I follow.

Then I was totally shocked, I read on her blog a statement from her family. Ashley L. Peterson passed away October 9, 2022.

Ashley was the person to go to find credible information about prescription drugs and treatments for mental health issues.

It so happened before I learned the news that I sent Ashley an email in regards to an interview about her newest book on the topic of Stigma.

I will miss her writings, her book reviews, and of course her favorites, her guinea pigs.

Rest in peace Ashley, you will be missed!

I have been blogging for more than a decade. I have followed many bloggers over that period of time.

I have been noticing that many of those bloggers are no longer posting. I have wondered if maybe blogging has reached it’s peak. Is blogging relevant in today’s society with all the social media apps, Twitter, Parler, Tribel, and many more. People want bits of information and they do not want to take time to read an entire news article or a blog post.

There was, Overcoming OCD, Translating Transgender, Matthew the Wolf Boy, and so many more. Have they just gave up, or found great employment, or more other events that have changed in their lives.

I haven’t been consistent in blogging over the past several months, I have been fighting a nasty flu like bug for over a month. This past weekend was spent totally in bed. Sweats and chilled at the same time with no appetite.

Reading others blogs have given me great insight about blogging and the reader’s comments have kept me inspired to keep writing.

So dear reader, have you noticed bloggers who have faded into the background? Do you have insight of what is happening the blogging community? Please use the comment section to let me know what you think!

I’m so sorry to hear about Ashley.
I also follow Matthew the Wolf Boy and Overcoming OCD and have missed their blog posts.
For me, I haven’t been posting regularly for a couple of reasons. Time and lack of inspiration.
    Hope you’re feeling better!
